Schultz 770-583-3258 schultz_forrest@yahoo.com June 3, 2009 Roy Schneider Performing at The Alamo on Saturday, June 6 · Roy Schneider, a great singer singer/musician/songwriter (as well as cartoonist) will be performing at The Alamo on Saturday June 6 at the usual time of 9:30 PM, and, as usual, the show is free. Lack of space forbids listing even a small fraction of all Schneider's accomplishments, so we will settle here with noting the most recent of these along with noting a compliment from a veteran musician. Schneider's most recent accomplishment was being named a New Folk Competition Finalist at the 2009 Kerrville Folk Festival. And from a voice from days of yore, Paul Stookey of the legendary Peter, Paul, and Mary supergroup has remarked with astonishment that Schneider has "played so many instruments so well". The Alamo is easily spotted in downtown Newnan on the Courthouse Square by its Marquee, which is an indication that it once housed a motion picture theatre. It is one of Newnan's historic buildings.
