Coweta Arts Tidbits The Successor To Newnan-Coweta Arts Council News Releases Composed By: Forrest W. Schultz 770-583-3258     July 20, 2009   At Arts Centre:   STAR Program "One Sensation" On July 23 - 25   Encore Program "The Wedding Singer"  August 6 - 8        The Centre for Performing and Visual Arts of Coweta County will be the venue for two very special musicals presented by students and graudates from the Coweta County Public Schools during July and August under the auspices of the STAR Program and the Encore Program.        The STAR (Superintendent's Theatre Arts Resources) Program will be presenting "One Sensation", which is a medley of songs from various Broadway plays, including South Pacific, Hairspray, Oklahoma!, the King and I, Wicked, and Legally Blonde.  This is designed as a show for the whole family.  Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and Senior Citizens.  There will be three performances:  on July 23, 24, and 25 at 7 PM each evening.        The Encore Program will also consist of three performances:  August 6, 7 & 8 also at 7 PM each evening.  The program will feature a performance of The Wedding Singer -- The Musical.  General admission is $8.        The Arts Centre is located several miles west of Newnan on Lower Fayetteville Road.  They can be contacted by phone at 770-254-2787 or by email at artscentre@cowetaschools.org.
