Zaphyra To Perform at Powers Crossroads Festival This Weekend
Will Preview the VOICES Concert at The Wadsworth on September 6
Carol Chancey, the Director of the Powers Crossroads Festival coming up this weekend, has announced that one of the attractions there will be two short performances by several of the most distinguished female vocal artists on the Southside, the Zaphyra choral group, which is part of the VOICES ensemble which will be performing at the Wadsworth Auditorium in Newnan on September 6. These performances, in fact, are intended as a sort of preview of the VOICES Concert, to give people some idea of what they can expect at that concert on September 6.
The first of these preview performances at the Powers Festival will be held on Saturday August 30 from 12:15 PM through 12:35 PM, and the second on Sunday August 31 from 2:30 PM through 3:00 PM.
