Noted Pianist Richard Dowling Coming to Arts Centre on Oct. 18

Knowing the high artistic standards held by Don Nixon, the Director of the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts of Coweta County, it is not surprising to learn that he has scheduled a concert at the Centre by one of the nation's top pianists, Richard Dowling.  The New York Times has hailed Dowling as "an especially impressive fine young pianist."  Dowling regularly appears across the USA both in solo recitals and in concerts with orchestras.  He is highly acclaimed by his audiences for his elegant and exciting style.  Two of the greatest achievements of his illustrious career include these two New York City triumphs:  a sold-out orchestral debut performance at the Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and a solo recital at the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall.  Among the awards he has received is a special one from National Federation of Music Clubs recognizing his outstanding performances of American music.

Admission for this important event is $10 for adults and $8 for children and senior citizens.  Tickets may be purchased at the Centre or at Scott's Book Store on the Courthouse Square in Newnan or at Morgan's Jewelers in Ashley Park on the Newnan Crossing Bypass.  The Centre is located on Lower Fayetteville Road several miles east of Newnan.  The Centre telephone no. is 770-254-2787.
