Two Musicology of Newnan Staff Members at The Alamo on Saturday:

Owner Doug Kees & Songwriting Teacher Diane Durrett

A news release from Musicology of Newnan has just announced that two of its staff members will be performing at 9:00 PM on Saturday night at The Alamo on the Courthouse Square in downtown Newnan.  Songwriting 101 Teacher Diane Durrett will be there, presumably with her famous guitar, and the other performer is the Founder and Owner of Musicology, Doug Kees.  The release does not say what Kees will be doing except that he will "be playing as a 'special guest' during the show".  I guess if you want to find out what that means you will have to go there and see for yourself!

The Alamo is one of downtown Newnan's most famous and historic buildings.  It used to house a motion picture theatre.  Now, still bearing the same name, there is a restaurant inside which is known for its great pizza.  You can recognize the building easily because it is on the corner and the marquee is still present!

Information on Musicology of Newnan and Doug Kees is available at http://www.musicologynewnan.com.  Info on Diane Durrett is available on her website
