Planning For Grantville Day Begins
First Meeting of Planning Committee May 3 -- Volunteers Welcomed
A lot of changes have taken place in regard to Grantville Day this year -- it will be run by the Grantville Veterans Association (GVA), it will be held in the fall instead of the summer, September 15 & 16 to be exact, the Chairman is Sandra Luttrell, and the new name is The New Grantville Days Festival. And they are excited and ready to roll to make this the best Grantville Day ever -- one of these new things to be included this year will be announced soon.
But for now the important announcement is of the first meeting of the Committee which will run Grantville Day -- it will be held on Thursday evening May 3 at the Veterans new home on Main Street beginning at 6:30 PM. Both Luttrell and the GVA are stressing that anyone concerned about Grantville Day can be a volunteer in helping to plan and run this festival. It is NOT necessary to be a Veteran or be a member of GVA.
