Jerry Yates Scheduled to Perform at Red Light Cafe and at Grantville Day

Newnan musican Jerry Yates has been in the news lately for winning several awards -- one from his producer and two from the Roots Music Association.  Now he has just released the following news about his scheduled appearance at the prestigious Red Light Cafe in Atlanta on Sepember 14.  (And the New Grantville Days Festival (formerly called "Grantville Day") will soon be releasing the information about his appearance there on Sunday afternoon September 16.)

Newnan Georgia's Award Winning Christian Country Blues, and Rockabilly Gospel Artist, Jerry Yates, has reached another milestone, as he continues to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ everywhere he can!
On September 14th at 7:30, Rev. Yates will be appearing at Midtown Atlanta's prestigious Red Light Cafe.  Not generally know for booking Gospel Music artists, The Red Light Cafe finally landed Yates, after three months of emails and schedule adjustments.
The Red Light Cafe at 553 Amsterdam Ave., in Midtown Atlanta, offers a great opprotunity to see new, promising music talent, in an intimate atmosphere. The venue is located in the Amsterdam Walk Shopping Center, and their setup for chairs and tables depends upon the music and artist, so it's best to call ahead for details. It is general admission only, so patrons are advised to come early to snag a chair. No liquor is served, but they do offer beer and wine. About performing where they serve alcoholic beverages, Jerry said, "That's where they need to hear the Gospel the most! I ain't going to drink it!"
The Red Light Cafe is best known for its loyalty to Bluegrass music, however, after hearing the music and singing of Jerry Yates, which is included in his electronic press kit, the venue decided to showcase his fantastic talent, on Friday night, September 14th. Again the music starts around 7:30pm.
To get there, take I-85 North, and get off at the 10th Street exit. Go East on 10th St. until it deadends into Monroe Dr.  Go left on Monroe, and travel approxamately half a mile, to 2nd light, and go left onto Amsterdam Ave. The Cafe is on the left, down the hill, and is the first shop on the left at Amsterdam Walk.
Rev Yates said that the venue was expecting him to draw 25 or 30 people, so your support will be greatly appreciated. In fact, Yates said he will give a free CD to anyone who shows up with a copy of this article, or a copy of the email he sent to his mailing list.
Jerry will also be returning to Club908 in Conyers, on September 7th, at 7pm.
