Southern Country Gospel Music at Grantville Depot on August 22

Second Coming, New Horizons, and The Parrish Family In Concert

By now the word has gotten out that one of the best places around here to listen to Southern Country Gospel music is the renovated Railroad Freight Depot on Main Street in the rural town of Grantville, Georgia.  And it is only by attending one of these monthly concerts that one can really appreciate the appropriateness of the ambience.

Roy Smith, the organizer of these concerts, has announced the details of the next one, which will be held on Saturday August 22 beginning at 7:00 PM.  The three groups performing are the Second Coming from Griffin, GA; New Horizons from Thomaston.. GA; and The Parrish Family from Barnesville, GA. As usual, there will be opportunities to meet the performers.

And, as usual, there will be refreshments for sale, the atmosphere will be casual, and, if one prefers, he can listen from the outside of the Depot or from the adjacent Colley Park.  There is no exact ending time, but the concerts usually last about three hours.

For information, one can contact Roy Smith at 770-583-3977 or by email at depotsinging@yahoo.com.    Grantville is located at Exit 35 on Interstate 85, approximately an hour south of Atlanta.
