Charles Wadsworth Concert Announced

One of the longest running and most appreciated of all the annual Coweta County arts and cultural activities is the Wadsworth and Friends Concert held each February in the Newnan's Municipal Auditorium, which several years ago was renamed The Charles Wadsworth Auditoiorum as an expression of Newnan's appreciation for these concerts and the moneys they have raised to help finance the Auditorium's renovation.

The responsibility for these concerts has this year been assumed by the Cultural Arts Committee of the City of Newnan. Kristi Vining, The Public Information Officer of the City of Newnan and a member the Cultural Arts Committee, has recently released the following information about this year's Wadsworth Concert:

The Newnan Cultural Arts Commission presents Charles Wadsworth and Friends on Saturday, February 24^th at 8:00 p.m. at Wadsworth Auditorium, 25 Jefferson Street, in downtown Newnan.

Featuring Artists:

Charles Wadsworth, Piano and Host

Courtenay Budd, Soprano

Jeewon Park, Piano

Alisa Weilerstein, Cello

General Admission Tickets:

$20 – Adults

$15 – Students/Seniors

Newnan Native Charles Wadsworth is an internationally renowned classical pianist. Mr. Wadsworth is the founding Artistic Director of Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, which he led for twenty years. Also, he is Artistic Director for Chamber Music of the Spoleto USA Festival in Charleston, South Carolina.
