 Offshoot  Productions' Dr. Steadman Announces:

Coweta Actress Chrisi Talyn Joins New Gallery Players Improv Troupe

Will Be In Murder Off The Cuff Tour (March 22, March 29, April 5)

Dr. Susan Steadman of Offshoot Productions caused quite a stir recently when she announced an intriguing twist to her Gallery Players Improv Troupe where not only the Troupe members but even the audience gets involved in the improvisation!  (Read more below.)  Now she is back in the news again announcing the addition of a brand new member to the Troupe, Coweta actress Chrisi Talyn.  Talyn, from Palmetto, is the second Coweta member who has been admitted to this highly select Fayette-based group.  Last year Joey Waldrop from Senoia was brought on board.  In the photos below Chrisi is dressed in red.

Steadman has this to say for Talyn:  "...she is a highly experienced improviser.  ...she received her theatre degree from Illinois State University and has trained with the Second City in Chicago.  She has spent the last decade in Los Angeles working in various parts of the entertainment industry as well as producing her own improv comedy Sci-Fi webseries called "DIPS" located on the web at www.dipscorp.com. "

Steadman also announced this information about the upcoming troupe tour:

Offshoot's Murder Off the Cuff Tours to Woodstock, Peachtree City, Newnan

The Gallery Players, Offshoot Productions' lively, quick-witted improvisation troupe, will take its new production, Murder Off the Cuff, to the Atlanta Bread Company in Woodstock on March 22, to the Atlanta Bread Company in Peachtree City on March 29, and to Bajas restaurant in Newnan on April 5.

Touring is nothing new for the Fayette County-based professional theatre company, but most of its prior touring has been with participation plays for young audiences, such as last year's Tales from Near and Far. "Now we're touring participation shows for adults, in a way," says producing artistic director Susan M. Steadman, Ph.D. "It's up to the audience to choose the murder weapon, victim, detectives and much more. Our experienced improv actors take the suggestions and run with them."

The Sunday, March 22 performance at the Atlanta Bread Company in Woodstock (180 Woodstock Square Avenue, in the Target /Kohl's shopping center) begins at 7:30 p.m. The restaurant's phone number is (678) 445-2794.

A week later, on Sunday, March 29, the company performs closer to home at Peachtree City's Atlanta Bread Company in The Avenue, at the intersection of GA Hwy 74 and GA Hwy 54. The restaurant's phone number (770) 486-1330. Curtain is 7:30 p.m.
For each of the Atlanta Bread locations, tickets are $10, and may be purchased at the restaurant, online with a credit card at www.offshoot.org , or by mail with checks made out to Offshoot Productions and mailed to P.O. Box 2462, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at both restaurants.

On Sunday, April 5, Murder Off the Cuff takes stage at 7:00 p.m. at Bajas, 385 Jackson St. in Newnan. Admission to this informal dinner theatre event is $20 and includes the meal and beverage. Tickets may be picked up at the Bajas, charged by phone at (770) 683-3474, or paid by checks made out to Offshoot Productions and mailed to P.O. Box 2462, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
