Christian Writers United Annnounces Annual Christian Authors Guild Conference

     During the past thiry years more and more national organizations have been holding their annual conferences in Georgia, usually Atlanta.  The next such occurrence will take place this weekened.  Linda Jennings, who heads the Newnan-based Christian Writers United (CWU), has announced to the CWU membership that the annual Christian Authors Guild Conference will be held in Woodstock, GA this coming weekend, September 11 & 12.  The website for this conference is

With a Friday evening dinner and kick-off session followed by a full  Saturday array of classes with guest speakers and teachers, you won't want to be anywhere else. Writing tips and tools, education, and inspiration abound!  Mark your calendars now. Don't miss the event! Our Conference Speakers and Teachers:

Jane Rubietta, co-director of the Write-To-Publish conference in Chicago, one of the most successful writing conferences in the world, is a remarkable speaker bringing solid teaching, animation, interaction, and humor into her full catalog of teaching topics that appeal to aspiring writers. An added bonus teacher to this year's conference will be Chris Tiegreen, Senior Editor of Walk Thru The Bible devotional magazine published by the internationally acclaimed Walk Thru The Bible Ministries. Chris has also authored numerous books including Fixing Abraham  and Feeling Like God.

Cynthia L. Simmons serves as 2009 president of the Christian Authors Guild, with past roles as conference director and chaplain. Her work has appeared in CAG anthologies, Chattanooga Times Free Press, NATHHAN NEWS, Chattanooga Regional Historical Journal, and Georgia Right to Life News.  Her current book Struggles and Triumps  has prompted numerous radio and TV interviews this year throughout the country..
Diana J. Baker is a freelance writer and Editor of Christian Living magazine. Her stories and articles have appeared in Focus on the Family publications and in several compilation books. During the past nine years, Diana has served the Christian Authors Guild as president, historian, hospitality chairman, and special projects director.

 Writing Contests:

 In conjunction with the Catch the Wave Writers Conference , two writing contests will be offered.
One for Short Story Fiction and the other for Non-Fiction Article.
