Coweta Musician Ken White in Concert Sponsored by Fayette Arts Committee
The online news service The Southside Arts Agenda has been doing an excellent job covering the burgeoning arts scene in the counties of the Southern Crescent. One of the items in the current issue, reproduced below, deals with a concert coming up on October 27, which is especially interesting for showing the co-operation among the counties with respect to the arts: the Fayette arts council, The Endowment Committee For Cultural Arts (ECCA), is sponsoring a concert featuring a musician from Coweta, Ken White. This announcement is taken from the ECCA website www.fayettecounty-ecca.org.
Mr. White has also served through stage and church music as producer,
conductor, and soloist at various mass choral and orchestral projects in
Atlanta, such as the National Church Music Leaders Conference, the Metro Atlanta Church Music Leaders Association festivals, spring and Christmas seasonal musical community concerts at the Clayton County Performing Arts Center, the Living Christmas Tree Presentations in Stone Mountain, Georgia, the Fayette Town Square annual Christmas Celebrations, the Six Flags Over Georgia's Night of Music and Fireworks on the 4th of July, and the Stone Mountain Park Christmas Opening Night Ceremony.
competitions as a finalist and winner, such as the Singer's Resource in Atlanta, the Birmingham Opera Competition, the Christian Artists in the Rockies Vocal Competition, the Enrico Caruso International Vocal Competition, and the Mac Allister Awards/New York City Opera Competition. He has spoken as clinician at various seminars and workshops on the topic of performance, music, and worship.
