Paul Conlan Wins Award in Nature, Undisturbed Photography Exhbition

His Great Blue Herons Takes Second Place in "Open Location" Category

The winners in the Southern Conservation Land Trust Nature, Undisturbed photography exhibition have been announced.  One of them was Coweta photographer Paul Conlan, who received second place in the Open Location category for his beautiful photograph entitled Great Blue Herons.  The Exhibition Director Donna Rosser says the photo "has a Japanese art look to it", which is particularly striking when the image is seen directly in the Dogwood Gallery, where the top fifty Exhibition entries will remain on display until May 3.

The Open Location category means photos taken anywhere outside of the Land Trust area.  Conlan took his photograph in a wetlands area off of Highway 34 near Franklin, Georgia, which is in Heard County.  Conlan has won awards in many photography exhibitions including last year's Arts Clayton Juried Photography Contest and several times in the annual SlowExposures contests held in Pike County, and he has been named the (Digital)  Photographer of the Year four times by the Roswell Photographic Society.  His photos can be viewed on his website www.fstopblues.com.

There will be various events held at the Dogwood Gallery in connection with this exhibition.  See https://www.sctlandtrust.org/news-events/nature-undisturbed for the schedule and details.  For information on Dogwood Gallery, please visit their website
