Newnan Theatre Announces November Shows

Dave Dorrell, the Artistic Director of the Newnan Theatre, has released t he following information about the schedule for November:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The next production at Newnan Theatre Company is the final offering in the Popcorn Theatre Series for Children – THE RELUCTANT DRAGON, adapted from the classic tale by Kenneth Grahame by Mary Hall Surface.
The village of Guildermere blames the dragon who lives upon the Downs for dying crops and sour milk. But this dragon is a peace-loving, poetry-spouting fellow who would much prefer a cup of tea to a battle. When Saint George arrives, the dragon and his young friend Glaston face quite a challenge indeed. While true to the spirit and language of the charming original, this adaptation embraces the dramatic power of what happens when misunderstanding escalates into prejudice and violence. This show is appropriate for all ages.
THE RELUCTANT DRAGON opens Friday, November 2 and continues November 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11. Friday and Saturday evening shows begin at 8pm, and Sunday matinees are at 2:30pm.
Ticket prices are: Adults - $10, Children (14 and under) and Senior Citizens (55+) - $10. You may call for reservations at 770-683-6282 or order your tickets online at www.newnantheatre.com.
