Coweta Authors Book Signing Extravaganza For 2008 Announced

CABSE Will Return to Grantville Day on Sept. 27 & 28

For some time now almost everyone around here has known that Coweta County has a burgeoning performing and visual arts scene but it was not until last year that the facts were discovered showing that the Coweta literary scene is booming as well.  There are now approximately 40 Coweta authors of published books, and Cowetans have published 50 books between the years of 2001 and 2007, with 23 of these during the past two years.  And last year was the debut of the Coweta Authors Book Signing Extravaganza, to which all Coweta authors of a published book were invited.  Twenty of these said they would come, and about 14 showed up.  The venue for the CABSE was the annual Grantville Day community festival.

The Committee planning this year's Grantville Day has invited the CABSE to return.  Grantville Day for 2008, which is being called "Grantville Days Crosstie Festival", will be held on the last weekend in September -- Saturday Sept. 27 & Sunday Sept. 28. Tables will be set up on the sidewalk of Main Street for the authors to use.  The same person who founded and ran the CABSE last year will be doing so this year -- Forrest W. Schultz, who can be reached at 770-583-3258 or schultz_forrest@yahoo.com for information.
