Newnan Theatre to Present Innovative Version of A Christmas Carol

Dianne Olsen, speaking on behalf of the Newnan Theatre, has this to say about their presentation of A Christmas Carol:

"Magical, musical, comical -- all in time for the holiday season!  Newnan Community Theatre Company's A Christmas Carol will not be the usual traditional program.  This adaptation, by director Tonya Dewyne Jefferson, includes lots of laughs and modern songs (imagine Michael Jackson's Thriller and Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You!).

The cast is having a fun time bringing this play to life.  With NCTC favorites Jeff Allen, Lenton Lees, and Sam Gentry among the cast members, it is sure to be a crowd pleaser.  There are dance numbers along with the Cratchit children, but this season, get ready for something a little non-traditional!

The show opens on Friday, November 28th at 8 pm.  Show dates are November 28, 29, 30, December 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14.  The Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8 pm, the Sunday matinee is at 2:30 pm.  The show on December 7th will begin at approximately 4:30 pm, after the Newnan Christmas parade.

The Newnan Community Theatre Company is located at 24 First Avenue, Newnan. For more information, visit them online at newnantheatre.com or call (770) 683-6282.  Tickets may be purchased online.  Seating is limited, so advance purchase of tickets is recommended."
