The Legacy Theatre has generated a lot of excitement as the first full
time professional theatre on the south side of Atlanta. For Executive
Producer Bethany Hayes Smith, the Legacy Theatre is the fulfillment of
a life-long dream to start a theatre company. Along with her husband,
Mark Smith, Artistic Director, they are seeing that dream realized.
"We are committed to providing this area with excellent entertainment
and we are passionate about the theatre being an elegant theatrical
experience!" Bethany and Mark have a long list of professional credits
in theatre companies across the country. They moved to Georgia from
New York when Mark accepted a position to teach theatre and film at
Landmark Christian School. As professional actors and educators, the
Smiths also have a desire to train and nourish the next generation of
theatre performers and patrons. This is an excellent opportunity for
area schools to experience professional theatre in an intimate and
convenient location. Careful research and planning has gone into the
design of this beautiful new theatre located on Highway 74 in Tyrone.
The intimate theatre has 176 custom designed traditional theatre
stadium seats in a rich purple fabric with a velvet main curtain dyed
to match. The 50 foot stage is framed by a Hollywood designed 25 foot
tall proscenium arch in an art deco design.

The Legacy Theatre stages five productions each year giving
opportunities for professional actors, technicians, directors and
choreographers from the Atlanta area and beyond to work.
Legacy Children's Theatre is a theatre for young audiences specializing
in shows that entertain as well as educate.
Legacy's Broadway Workshop gives children through teens an opportunity
to work with theatre professionals and develop musical theatre skills.
